Press Play is an attempt to highlight the beauty of musical instruments by being a minimal implementation to hold a trumpet on the wall. Rather than hiding the instrument in a case, the stand transforms it into a piece of art — always visible, always inviting you to pick it up and play.
The stand leverages the instrument's own valves to keep it securely in place, with a leather-lined base to protect the brass bottom. The black locust wood is joined with hand-cut dovetails, creating a small object that rewards close inspection while practically disappearing behind the beauty of the trumpet itself.
