Keepsake Box

The first piece I finished after graduating from wood school. A vehicle to keep my skills sharp and give back to my community.

Maple and walnut, joined with hand-cut dovetails. The spindles for the handle were turned on the lathe. Inside, black felt to soften whatever the box ends up holding.

It's bound for the Ladies Aid silent auction on Cranberry Island, where every dollar raised goes back into the small community that runs on neighbors helping neighbors.

Materials: Maple, walnut, and matte Osmo
